Guitar Lessons & Voice Lessons from a Performing Professional Musician
Remote and In-Person voice, guitar lessons & voice lessons
from David Victor, formerly of the multi-platinum band BOSTON
My name is David Victor, and I am a San Francisco Bay Area-based musician, song writer and show producer. I was guitarist and vocalist for the multi-platinum band BOSTON, and sang on a #1 single. That’s me there, performing in front of 20,000 in Boston Garden.
I am now accepting a very limited number of students of all ages for voice and guitar lessons.
I teach remotely via Skype, Zoom or Facetime.
Please fill out the form below and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
Helpful Hints for Learning Guitar & Voice Remotely with David Victor
Personalized guitar lessons and voice lessons are easy to do remotely, via Skype, Zoom, Whereby or Facetime. If you use Facetime (Apple iPhone or iPad), you have a camera already built-in to your device.
If you use Skype, Zoom or Whereby, you’ll need to have a good web camera. I like the Logitech C922x webcam, available here on Amazon.com. This webcam has a decent built-in mic, but if you’d like slightly better audio performance, you can pick up the super-simple FiFine USB mic, also on Amazon.
When you’re taking your lesson, be sure you have a nice, comfortable place to sit or stand. Be sure that you are well-lit, so I can see your face, complete guitar and hands (if you’re taking guitar lessons). Usually a light source that’s in front of you is best. If you have a window letting in lots of light behind you, it’s more difficult to see you clearly.
Also, if you are an electric guitar student, be sure I can hear your guitar as clearly as I hear your voice so that I can easily pick up on your playing. A simple, undistorted clean tone is usually best, but if you need to rock, you know I’ll understand!
